Job Specification


The Role

 

  • Using system data coordinate workflow through all business areas.

  • Identify and communicate with Customer Services if scheduled ship dates are unachievable. Recommend a solution.

  • Ensure the production plan is prioritised to ensure minimum delay with maximum efficiency.

  • Ensure all suppliers deliver on time in full (OTIF). Identify and address issues for those that don’t.

  • Collaborate with Quality Control to prioritise incoming goods inspection.

  • Ensure you work within stock level guidelines both from a service and financial perspective.

  • Maintain system accuracy at all times.

  • Utilise all applicable KPI’s to identify underperforming areas. Working closely with the Demand Planning Manager, recommend short term and permanent solutions.

  • Contribute and give full support to any improvement initiatives that are either in place or in the process of being introduced throughout the business.

  • Ensure a high level of health & safety is maintained by safe working conditions and compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policy.

    The Person

  • Experience working as a production planner and/or buyer

  • Experience working in a fast paced office environment

  • Strong analytical and mathematical background

  • Familiar with ERP systems and supply chain planning

  • Demonstrate commercial awareness, engineering / business knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels and across all activities

  • Highly motivated with attention to detail

  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office (in particular Excel)

  • Positive disposition, able to motivate others

  • Technically minded, forward thinking with the ability to plan ahead

  • Organised, efficient and comfortable working to deadlines
